I am doing a debate on school serving healthier foods in cafeterias. And I know that child obesity starts from a young age and can lead to adult obesity.

I think childhood obesity is the result of poor parenting. Consider it this way, if a parent teaches their child at a young age that a well rounded meal isn’t a McDonald’s happy meal with a diet coke, and encourages the kid to explore outside the house instead of exploring the internet, they will live a happier healthier life. Schools can help children by serving healthy lunch options, extending recess times, and through health classes.

you are correct! child obesity starts with the parents giving the child unhealthy foods like, chips, fries, candy, cake, cookies, mac n cheese, ice cream, etc. if parents give their children healthy food choices when they are very young the children will most likely make healthy food choices when they get older. my advice for parents: if you don’t want your children eating junk food stop bringing it into the house!! another good trick is to only purchase items from around the perimeter of a grocery store. (low-fat dairy, lean cuts of meat, fresh fruits and veggies)

Child Obesity – wrong diet, too much inactivity, too many rides to the mall and everywhere else, too. Parents who aren’t paying attention to what their kids are eating. Too much scheduled activity – send the kids out to play.
School cafeteria food has always been unhealthy so I don’t think this is the primary problem, but certainly it contributes along with a whole bunch of other factors. Kids should only be eating balanced meals and their parents need to stop rewarding them with food, especially snack foods.Kids are grazing all day long which develops habits that become near impossible to break. They are allowed to eat in class. And their parents are telling the school nurse that their child is Hypoglycemic just so they can eat anytime they want to. I think parents should stop getting pissed when the doctor or teacher tells them their kids are getting fat and just take a look at their kids. A kid can’t control this problem by themselves – they need vigilant parents. I could go on and on, but it is very simply parents need to be parents and guide their kids in good eating habits first and more exercise second.

It is caused by unhealthy food choices that are high in fat and calories, and a lack of daily exercise. Parents need to raise their children to make appropriate food choices!!!

Make It A Laugh A method to make sure that your kid would be in a position to sustain whatever weight loss programme you would put the kid on is to make the programme better to do. This could make things less complicated for them.
