I suppose that being overweight is not at all a new phenomenon to you my unfailing reader perhaps because you are undergoing this problem now or in the past. If not you, your close friends, relative or neighbor have been struggling with this. Being overweight is carrying too much weight that is optimally unhealthy and this can result to diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, stroke among others.

Being overweight can also cause psychological tension, physical disabilities especially after rapid weight loss and it is simply rampant in the modern generation. This is the reason as to why you will repeatedly watch shows sensitizing people on being cautious about this problem side effect. To start with, I will take you through the various causes thought to make people be captives of this crisis.

Being overweight is in general caused by the ingestion of more calories than are expended by the body -by exercise and everyday living. Factors which may contribute to this imbalance includes limited exercise and inactive lifestyle, especially if you have to sit around in the office all day long and eating chocolate, sugary foods and fatty foods as long as you can spot them. You must at least organize your lifestyle to allow you to have time to unwind and burn the extra calories. You could take a walk home if not very far from job premises or attend a gymnasium session.

Poor nutrition and overeating can be serious mistake to any body who want to sustain a lovely body appearance. Instead of eating too much of junk food, it is wise to balance your diet to contain the proteins, vitamins and carbohydrates. To avoid stuffing yourself with lots of food, have a tight work schedule in which time and deadline is of essence particularly if you are mostly indoors and be disciplined too.

Hormone imbalances in women especially will result to mountain of side effects ranging from persistent ailments, psychological effects to being overweight. This will happen especially to young girls at the onset of their puberty, pregnancy, while using some contraceptive pills or even menopause. Only the doctors know what they could do to the misbehaving thyroid gland that is a regulator for body hormonal functioning.

Metabolic disorders, which could be caused by repeated attempts to lose weight is also a potential factor that will result to being overweight. At times people will do a lot to loose the weight that they perceive as too much or embarrassing. It is not all weight that is a lot that is necessarily obese. The world hold a misconception that the slim figure for a woman is the best and it is for this reason that some have become anorexic risking death. Having too little as compared to your normal body mass can be hideous as well.

People who are alcoholic have also been ranked high on the overweight criterion. One would wonder why, but I also think that, these people tend to focus on eating roasted fatty meat especially, coupled with beer and thus neglecting the fact that they are missing vitamins and some crucial carbohydrates in their diet.

Stressful lifestyle has also been the reason for struggle to many, with their weight and in particular those who use food as a way to chill out and forget their misery. This is linked more to those who were molested at their childhood age and they decided to contain this pain in their hearts and minds for a long time.
