How do you feel about overweight people?

overweight
Thats-so-straight asked:

Personally I’m not overweight but I do have slighty chubby friends and some of my slimmer friends don’t seem to like them as much. I feel like people don’t want to be friends with chubby girls but I’m not sure why. Could someone clear this up for me?

It doesn’t matter if your fat, skinny, tall, short, caucasian, asian, hispanic, african america, blue eyed, brown eyed, whateverrrrrrr!
I don’t see how people can not like someone because they look different, wtf??

Social image point blank. slimmer people generally look down on those not healthier/good looking as themselves or etc.

your friends seem shallow and really materialistic.
ppl shouldnt choose friends based on looks and how fat they are. ppl should choose ppl for who they are.
like my some of my frends are like chubby and over weight i choose them becuase they are good ppl that are theere for you when needed.

I would be lying if I said I’m a hundred percent immune to favoring attractive people. For me, it’s just not attractive to be too overweight (well, depend on what you call “chubby”, I found some “chubby” girls to be quite attractive; they were more like curvy, but even with a few pounds on, I don’t mind too much). Maybe I have more reserve with heavily overweight and obese people, because in my mind they seem to have a real lack of respect to themselves (only in the severe cases).

I can be bold enough to say some people have a similar way of thinking? But I can override it. I had a friend (well he was a man) from Texas. He is frankly obese, but I became really interested in him just by his personality.

Things happen, and as a matter of fact, I have put a few pounds on my own, and the only reason why I somewhat obsess over it is because my mother was relentless about pointing it out. Maybe it has something to do with my slightly picky behavior?

Opinionated people, don’t hate me for my apparent superficiality. I’m giving my honest opinion at least.

fatness=illness and people should look after themselves for health and for social life while living then everything will be better and as expected…

My best friend is on the chubby side, so I guess I don’t discriminate against chubby people (in fact, I made her my Maid of Honor).

I do, however, get MAD at obese people. I feel like they’re not taking care of themselves. I went to Disneyland a few months back and was so appalled at the number of obese Americans in the place!!! There were families, ENTIRE families, that were so huge, they waddled as they walked around the park.

Your slimmer friends are superficial judgmental closed minded snots – I am not sure why you would want to consider them friends. WHY they are stuck up rude bit**** doesn’t matter.

Do you realize that you are judged by the company you keep? Doesn’t that bother you they are so nasty?

It’s really not important to me how much people weigh. I also don’t care what color their hair, eyes, or skin is. All I care about is if they are nice people and good friends.
