I need some overweight mice for a research project. So, how do I make mice overweight without spending much money or applying some certain so-and-so chemicals and treatments?

Place them in the couch in front of the tv with a remote control in their hands and feed them lots of junk food.
high fat diet look at the fat content in the food you feed them. the higher % should do it. and less exercise. just like humans.

feed them a lot. especialy that really colourful looking happy food cause its high in the bad stuff. and lots of left-over white bread and treats (like yoghurt drops).
You can feed him (other then his normal food) treats of all kinds of varieties to make it seem interesting so that he will want to eat it all then you just keep feeding him.
Try putting periactin in their food. People use it to gain weight, it should work on mice. Hope this helped.
Give them a high fibre diet and feed them loads and don’t give them any excersize
